Netflix has completed filming "Temur: The Rise of the Last Conqueror", a historical drama depicting the life and legacy of the legendary Central Asian commander Amir Temur. The announcement was made on the film’s official Instagram page.
According to the post, the production aims to faithfully capture the dramatic rise of Amir Temur, with a strong focus on historical authenticity and the atmosphere of the era.

“We portrayed the life of one of the region’s most significant figures right where he lived and fought. This provided an invaluable opportunity for the filming process,” the filmmakers noted.

The film is directed by Jacob Schwartz and written by Matthew Green. American actor Christian Mortensen stars as Amir Temur. Mahesh Jadu plays the role of Amir Husayn, while Yulduz Rajabova portrays Temur’s wife, Uljoy.

Production of the film began in late 2022, with principal photography taking place in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The project is currently in post-production, and its premiere is scheduled for late summer of this year.
As previously reported, Netflix announced plans at the end of 2022 to produce a feature film dedicated to the life of Amir Temur.
