A ceremonial military march involving units from ministries and agencies within the Armed Forces will be held in Tashkent on April 4 to mark the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur’s birth. As a result, several streets in the capital will be temporarily closed, the Defense Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the ceremonial march will begin at 8:00 a.m. from the University of Public Security and Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan and will continue until 12:30 p.m.
The military units will first move from the starting point along Parkent and Mustaqillik streets, carrying Amir Temur’s battle flag and wearing both modern combat and everyday military uniforms, as well as period costumes and weaponry associated with the era of Amir Temur. At the stop near Amir Temur Square, theatrical performances, honorary guard demonstrations, hand-to-hand combat displays, battle calls by the units, and a military orchestra defile will be presented. The units will then return to their destination along Mustaqillik and Temiryo‘l streets.

On April 4, traffic on the above-mentioned streets will be temporarily restricted from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
