Admission quotas for higher education institutions approved

The parameters for admission to state higher education institutions for the 2025–2026 academic year have been approved, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations has announced.

In the upcoming academic year, admission to bachelor's programs at state universities will be conducted in three formats: full-time, evening, and distance education. A total of 148,400 applicants will be admitted to full-time undergraduate programs.

The distribution of full-time bachelor's degree places by language of instruction is as follows:

  •  Uzbek: 124,339
  •  Russian: 19,125
  •  Karakalpak: 4,121
  •  Kazakh: 375
  •  Tajik: 305
  •  Kyrgyz: 75
  •  Turkmen: 65

A total of 28,732 places are allocated for evening undergraduate education:

  •  Uzbek: 25,563
  •  Russian: 2,477
  •  Karakalpak: 437

For distance education in bachelor's programs, 18,195 places have been allocated:

  •  Uzbek: 16,000
  •  Russian: 1,780
  •  Karakalpak: 415

Meanwhile, 20,210 places have been allocated for full-time master's degree programs:

  •  Uzbek: 17,263
  •  Russian: 2,947

For evening master's programs, 1,319 places are available:

  •  Uzbek: 1,107
  •  Russian: 138
  •  Karakalpak: 74

A total of 420 places are allocated for distance learning master's programs:

  •  Uzbek: 352
  •  Russian: 53
  •  Karakalpak: 15

In total, 45,422 state grants have been allocated for both bachelor's and master's degree programs. Of these, 35,500 are designated for tuition-free study in bachelor's programs, while 9,922 grants are reserved for master's programs.

Additionally, special grant quotas have been set aside:

  •  For foreign and non-state universities: 1,320
  •  For women: 4,000
  •  For young Uzbeks living abroad: 30

It is worth noting that these parameters were previously confirmed as part of the state order for the 2025/2026 academic year and the subsequent three years.
