Shops catch fire in Shahrisabz (video)

A fire broke out in two shops in the city of Shahrisabz, Kashkadarya region. The incident was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the report, at 9:50 pm on June 30, local authorities received a call about a fire in two shops — a confectionery and a dried fruits store — located on Ipak Yuli Street in the “Kesh” neighborhood (MFY).

Four fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene by 8:53 pm. The fire was contained by 9:03 pm and fully extinguished by 9:10 pm.

The blaze destroyed the roof and interior of the shops over an area of approximately 30 square meters. It was noted that the shops were not located within a marketplace.

The Fire Department confirmed that no residents were injured in the incident. The cause of the fire and the total damage are currently under investigation.

As a reminder, a separate fire recently occurred in a residential building in the Andijan district of the Andijan region. That incident resulted in damage to the ceiling and household items inside the home.
