Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds phone call with Saudi Crown Prince

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on March 29, the press service of the Uzbek president reported.

At the beginning of the conversation, the two leaders once again warmly congratulated each other on the occasion of Ramadan Eid, Eid al-Fitr.

It was noted that the escalating tensions and intensifying confrontations in the Middle East are causing serious concern for both sides.

The leaders emphasized that preventing the further escalation of such actions and ensuring their full resolution would serve not only the interests of the countries in the region but also the broader goal of maintaining global stability.

The Uzbek leader stated that during these challenging times, Uzbekistan stands in solidarity and unity with the leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia, expressing full support for the Kingdom’s balanced and prudent policy.

The President of Uzbekistan also expressed special gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for the practical assistance and favorable conditions provided to Uzbek citizens currently performing Umrah in the country.

In turn, Mohammed bin Salman expressed appreciation for the sincere goodwill and friendly support conveyed by the President of Uzbekistan. The sides agreed to intensify high-level dialogue and coordinated joint efforts to elevate bilateral and multilateral relations to a new stage.
