Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Pakistan’s foreign minister

In Islamabad, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was received at his official residence by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ishaq Dar, the press service of the Uzbek leader reported.
According to the press service, during the meeting Ishaq Dar briefed the Uzbek president on the agenda of the bilateral events planned as part of the visit.
President Mirziyoyev noted the foreign minister’s significant contribution to the organization of the state visit.
It was expressed that the upcoming high-level talks and the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council would enrich Uzbekistan–Pakistan strategic partnership relations with new practical substance.
Earlier, it was reported that President Mirziyoyev visited the headquarters of Global Industrial and Defence Solutions in Pakistan, where he met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
