Shavkat Mirziyoyev concludes working visit to Switzerland

On January 22, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded his participation in events held in the Swiss city of Davos. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek leader.
Earlier that day, the Uzbek president took part in the signing ceremony of the charter of the “Peace Council” and held a number of meetings and discussions on the sidelines of the event. Following the conclusion of the working visit, President Mirziyoyev departed for Tashkent from Zurich International Airport.
It should be recalled that earlier reports said Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the signing ceremony of the charter of the “Peace Council” in Davos, through which Uzbekistan became one of the founding states of the organization. The event, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, was attended by heads of state, prime ministers, and foreign ministers from Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Paraguay, Pakistan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Hungary, and other countries.
In addition, on the sidelines of the Peace Council charter signing ceremony, talks were held between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held a meeting with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso during events in Davos.
