Waste collection tariffs to increase in Tashkent region from April 1

The Tashkent Regional Council of People’s Deputies has approved new tariffs for household waste collection and disposal services, the regional administration reported.
According to the statement, starting from April 1 this year, waste collection tariffs for residents in Tashkent region will increase by nearly 40 percent, while tariffs for legal entities will rise by 20 percent.
For residents, the monthly fee per person will increase from 7,840 soums to 10,864 soums (including VAT). Excluding VAT, the tariff will rise from 7,000 soums to 9,700 soums, an increase of 38.6 percent.
For legal entities, the tariff for waste removal will increase from 82,880 soums to 97,316.8 soums per cubic meter (including VAT). Without VAT, the tariff will rise from 74,000 soums to 86,890 soums, representing a 17.4 percent increase.
The tariffs will apply to services provided by Toza Hudud, Zero-Waste, Zangiota Obodon, Angren Bunyod Fayz, Rahnamo Servis, and Ohangaron Sanitariya Tozalash.
Earlier, an underground waste storage complex was established in the city of Namangan in Namangan region.
