Shocking incident: Citizen falls from the 9th floor in Yunusabad district

A video showing a person falling from the 9th floor of an apartment building in Tashkent has been widely shared on social networks, sparking various discussions. The capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs has commented on the incident.

According to the report, on July 21 at approximately 01:30, a 23-year-old citizen jumped from a window on the 9th floor of an apartment building located in the 9th block of Yunusabad district. The individual hit the roof of the entrance hall before falling to the ground.

The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries, including brain and skull trauma, fractures of the left clavicle and right sternum, a compression fracture of the first lumbar vertebra (2nd and 3rd degree), and traumatic shock of the 2nd degree.

Doctors report that the patient is currently under medical supervision.

It was revealed that the individual had been experiencing psychological changes since the end of 2024 and had undergone psychological and medical examinations.

A pre-investigation is being conducted by the Yunusabad District Internal Affairs Bureau. A legal decision will be made following the investigation.

For reference, earlier in Urgench, Khorezm region, two minor girls tragically committed suicide by jumping from the roof of an apartment building. The investigation identified them as D.S., born in 2009, and S.B., born in 2010.
