Special cameras will be installed in classrooms for 10th and 11th grades in all secondary schools across Tashkent. The attendance of senior students will be monitored through the implementation of the “Smart School” electronic program. The decision was made by Tashkent mayor Shavkat Umurzakov on August 29.
The cameras will be installed using funds from the district’s local budget.
According to the decision, the “Smart School” electronic program will be piloted in the Almazar district. The system will be introduced in 250 classrooms across 31 secondary schools to continuously monitor education quality, track student attendance, analyze students’ mental state using artificial intelligence, assess their interest in subjects, and evaluate the pedagogical performance of teachers.
Deputy mayor of Tashkent D. Rahimova has been appointed to oversee the implementation of this initiative.
Earlier, it was reported that an electronic system would also be introduced in Uzbekistan’s general secondary schools to guide students into sports by evaluating their physiological and anthropometric data collected during medical examinations.
