Man detained for sexually harassing woman in tunnel (video)

A video circulated on social media showing an unidentified man committing indecent acts against a woman in a tunnel near Farhod Market in Tashkent, sparking widespread public discussion. The Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs commented on the incident.

According to the report, on January 6 at around 6:50 p.m., an unknown individual committed indecent and immoral acts against a woman identified as L.Q., born in 1996, on Lutfiy Street in Uchtepa district, before fleeing the scene.

As a result of оператив search measures carried out by the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the suspect was identified and detained. He was identified as V. Andrey, born in 1993, and was apprehended by law enforcement officers. A pre-investigation review is currently being conducted by the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs. A lawful decision will be made following the conclusion of the review.

It is worth noting that earlier, a 19-year-old man in Sokh district of Fergana region was sentenced to five days of detention for sending obscene messages and sexually harassing a neighboring woman via the Telegram messenger.
