Teacher fired after hitting students with book

A video circulating on social media shows a teacher at School No. 11 in the Urta Chirchik district of the Tashkent region physically assaulting a student. The regional Department of Preschool and School Education has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to the report, the incident occurred in May of this year. The physical education teacher, identified as A.L., used physical force against his 9th-grade students, whom he was supervising. The teacher allegedly insulted the students using inappropriate language and physically assaulted them, citing their low academic performance and poor classroom participation as justification.

An investigative working group composed of relevant officials found the teacher’s actions unlawful and inconsistent with pedagogical ethics. Furthermore, it was revealed that the school’s deputy principal for moral affairs had failed to investigate the incident or take disciplinary measures against the teacher.

As a result, the teacher’s employment contract has been terminated. The deputy principal has received a disciplinary reprimand.

Authorities confirmed that the situation is under the supervision of law enforcement agencies, and an investigation is underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, a teacher broke a student’s shoulder after striking him for wearing a T-shirt to school in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region.
