Jackals spotted in the Urgench district

Videos of jackals roaming in the Urgench district of the Khorezm region have been circulating on social media. The Khorezm Regional Department of Ecology has responded to the situation.
According to the department, jackals were spotted near the village of Chandirkiyot in the Bakaylar neighborhood of the Urgench district. To address the issue by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Protection and Use of Wildlife"—and to prevent potential harm to human economic activity—a group of amateur hunters has been formed.
It is reported that the group is currently carrying out scaring operations to drive the animals away.
It is worth recalling that earlier, snakes had entered homes in both the Sharof Rashidov district and the city of Jizzakh.
