Uzbekistan and Bulgaria sign a declaration to strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

On June 10, following high-level negotiations in Tashkent, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev signed a joint declaration aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation. The announcement was made by the Presidential Press Service.

In the presence of both leaders, a number of bilateral documents were also exchanged. These included a cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2026–2027 and an agreement on establishing partnership relations between the cities of Tashkent and Sofia.

As previously reported, an official welcoming ceremony was held earlier the same day at the Kuksaroy residence for President Rumen Radev, who is visiting Uzbekistan on an official trip. Following the ceremony, the two presidents held negotiations with the participation of official delegations.

During the talks, President Rumen Radev extended an invitation to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay a return visit to Bulgaria at a mutually convenient time. The Bulgarian leader is also scheduled to participate in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.
