A large-scale military exercise involving the defense ministries of Central Asian countries has begun at the Kattakurgan training ground, the largest military range in Uzbekistan under the Central Military District. The Ministry of Defense reported the event.
On October 14, one of the largest military exercises under the framework of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense, ’’Unity – 2025,’’ held its opening ceremony. Participants from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan attended the exercise.
The main goal of the exercise is to strengthen trust between the countries, enhance military cooperation, and reinforce close partnership ties in response to increasing geopolitical tensions, crises, and emerging new threats worldwide.
During the exercise, participants are expected to jointly carry out combat-training tasks using the most effective modern combat methods. This includes employing artillery capable of hitting long-range targets, unmanned aerial vehicles, armored vehicles, and other weaponry, based on current battlefield experience.
It is worth noting that from July 8 to 10 this year, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan conducted the joint ’’Tarlan-2025’’ flight-tactical exercises.
