As of October 1, 2025, Uzbekistan’s permanent population reached 38,069,116, the State Committee of Statistics reported.
By region, the permanent population is as follows:
- Samarkand region – 4,360,070
- Fergana region – 4,204,284
- Kashkadarya region – 3,697,658
- Andijan region – 3,507,220
- Tashkent city – 3,164,030
- Namangan region – 3,177,070
- Tashkent region – 3,148,569
- Surkhandarya region – 2,994,070
- Bukhara region – 2,099,069
- Khorezm region – 2,059,078
- Republic of Karakalpakstan – 2,046,890
- Jizzakh region – 1,559,883
- Navoi region – 1,108,595
- Syrdarya region – 942,630
It is worth noting that earlier this year, reports indicated that more boys than girls were born in Uzbekistan during the first nine months of 2025.
