Truck crashes into bridge in Zangiota

A truck crashed into a bridge in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region and came to a stop. The regional Road Safety Department reported the incident.

According to the report, on September 26 at around 19:00, a truck driver in Zangiota district ignored a prohibitory road sign and crashed into a concrete barrier on the pedestrian part of the bridge while driving a vehicle that exceeded the permitted dimensions.

Traffic safety officers promptly arrived at the scene and resolved the situation.

No injuries were reported, and the part of the bridge used for automobile traffic was not damaged. However, the pedestrian section of the bridge sustained damage. Repair work is currently underway, and vehicle traffic has been fully restored.

The Zangiota District Internal Affairs Directorate has launched an investigation into the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier, in the Chust district of the Namangan region, a truck crashed into a shop. Both the truck and the shop were damaged in that accident, but no injuries were reported.
