Electric substation catches fire in Andijan

On October 8, at 18:32, a fire broke out at an intermediate station within the electricity transmission and distribution system in Andijan. This was reported by the press service of the regional Department of Emergency Situations.
According to the report, the fire occurred due to a short circuit in electrical wires at the Yoyilma semi-substation of the Andijan Regional Electric Networks, located on South Pakhtakor Street in the Pakhtakor neighborhood of Andijan city.
Upon receiving the report, fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 18:34, and the fire was fully extinguished by 18:45.
No injuries were reported.
“Currently, the causes of the fire and the amount of material damage are being determined,” the department said in its statement.
It is worth noting that earlier, a fire broke out in a three-story building, which is currently not in operation, located in the village of Yangihayot, Shorobod neighborhood, Jondor district of the Bukhara region.
