Earlier, it was reported that a bus carrying citizens of Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Tajikistan had overturned in the Amur region of Russia. The Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has issued a statement regarding the incident, denying the presence of Uzbek citizens on the bus.

According to the agency, on October 16, a traffic accident occurred at the 19th kilometer of the Blagoveshchensk–Svobodny highway in the Amur region, involving a passenger bus owned by the Turkish construction company Yamata and a passenger car.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Khabarovsk, together with the Migration Agency’s representative office in the Russian Federation, promptly investigated the incident.

Official reports state that one bus passenger died and 14 others sustained various injuries as a result of the accident. There were no citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan among the passengers.

It is worth noting that earlier, a 22-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan died in a construction accident in the city of Arkhangelsk, Russia.
