64-year-old woman dies after being hit by a Nexia in Fergana (video)

A 64-year-old woman died after being hit by a Nexia vehicle in the Uchkuprik district of the Fergana region. The incident was reported in the “Millar” program.

According to the report, the accident occurred in the village of Yoyilma, situated in the Uchkuprik district. The driver, born in 1989, struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road from right to left. Following the collision, the driver immediately took the injured woman to the hospital. However, despite the medical care provided, the woman passed away.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules or the Use of Vehicles). It is currently being investigated by the Uchkuprik District Department of Internal Affairs.

It should be recalled that a similar incident occurred earlier in the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region, where an 8-year-old girl died after being hit by a Nexia. The accident was caused by a 29-year-old driver who failed to slow down despite the presence of a nearby school sign.
