Driver in Andijan hits and throws two people after running red light (video)

A Nexia-2 ran a red light and struck both a moped and a bicycle rider on September 4 of this year, in the Andijan region, the Regional Road Traffic Safety department reported.
According to the report, at the 48th kilometer of the D-137 ’’Teshiktosh–Oyim Qorgontepa–Yorqishloq’’ highway, passing through Khonkocha neighborhood of Qorgontepa district, driver A.Q., born in 1996, was operating a Nexia-2 in the direction of Qorgontepa. At a regulated intersection, he ran the red light and collided with a moped emerging from the left side of the junction. As a result of losing control of the vehicle, he also hit a cyclist traveling along the roadside.
It was reported that as a result of the traffic accident, the moped driver, Sh.A., and the cyclist, B.N., sustained minor injuries and sought treatment at the emergency department of the Qorgontepa district medical center.
Currently, an investigation is being carried out by officers of the Road Traffic Safety department of the Qorgontepa district Internal Affairs department. Legal measures will be taken against the violator in accordance with the law.
It is worth noting that earlier, a traffic accident occurred in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent between a Spark and a road patrol vehicle. The Spark, which was moving without license plates, collided with a Lacetti service vehicle driven by a traffic officer traveling in the first lane, causing it to overturn. First aid was provided to the drivers involved in the accident. No serious injuries were reported.
