Khayrullo Ibodullayev awarded the Jasorat medal

On February 26, a ceremony was held at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, Russia, to present the Jasorat (Courage) medal to Khayrullo Saydullayevich Ibodullayev, who saved the life of a child who fell from the seventh floor. The announcement was made by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Akhror Burkhanov.

According to the report, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Botir Asadov, addressed the ceremony and подчеркнул that, in accordance with a presidential decree, Khayrullo Ibodullayev was awarded the Jasorat medal for demonstrating courage, heroism and selflessness characteristic of the Uzbek people.

Ibodullayev expressed his gratitude to the President for being deemed worthy of the state award. He also stated that he considers his actions not an act of heroism, but a human duty.

The award ceremony was attended by staff of the Consulate General in St. Petersburg, members of the Uzbek community, and representatives of Russian media outlets.

Earlier, it was reported that Khayrullo Ibodullayev had rescued a child who fell from a multi-storey building in St. Petersburg. For this act of bravery, he was also awarded the fourth Tigran Keosayan Prize in Russia, along with a monetary reward of one million rubles. In addition, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov honored him for saving the child.
