Man detained for using 907 million soums worth of gas without a meter in Samarkand

A case involving the illegal use of natural gas worth 907 million soums has been uncovered in Samarkand, according to Hududgazta’minot.

It was reported that an inspection was carried out in the city by the compliance control units of Hududgaz Samarkand, in cooperation with the gas supply department and law enforcement agencies.

The investigation found that at a general secondary school located in the Shodiyona mahalla of the city, the consumer had been illegally using natural gas after connecting to the network without project and technical documents and without a meter.

A report was drawn up on the case, and the volume of illegally used natural gas was recalculated at 907.2 million soums. All documents have been forwarded to law enforcement authorities.

It is worth noting that earlier, a separate case involving the illegal use of natural gas worth 9.8 billion soums was identified in a multi-storey residential building in the Hazorasp district of Khorezm region.
