Daler Rahimov, a school student who won the International Chemistry Olympiad, has been awarded a cash prize of 1 billion 40 million soums in accordance with a decision by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The announcement was made by Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, on his Telegram channel.

Daler Rahimov attended a meeting between the President and young people held on February 24 at the Kuksaroy residence. During the meeting, he stated that he has set a firm goal of studying at leading universities around the world in the future and bringing Uzbekistan its first Nobel Prize.

“Currently, I am submitting my applications to the world’s leading universities. I will study the most advanced technologies and, of course, return to Uzbekistan. Just as our great ancestors — Abu Rayhan Beruni and Abu Ali ibn Sina — contributed their discoveries to science, I also want to follow in their footsteps and make my own contribution to scientific development. My goal is to be among the first to bring a Nobel Prize to Uzbekistan,” he said.

It is worth noting that during the same meeting with young people at the Kuksaroy residence, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also presented a car to a fourth-grade student who performed a song live.
