Woman brutally beats 8-year-old child in Surkhandarya (video)

Videos have circulated on social media showing a woman brutally beating a minor. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the commissioner for Children’s rights under the Oliy Majlis (Children’s ombudsman), Surayya Rahmonova.

According to Rahmonova, the Ombudsman’s office has conducted an inquiry into the case.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the incident took place on August 26 this year in Termez, Surkhandarya region. It was established that a woman born in 1980 intervened in a quarrel between her grandchild, born in 2022, and another child, born in 2017, who was playing nearby. The woman repeatedly struck the 8-year-old boy in the face with her hand.

In the leaked videos circulating online, the woman can also be seen striking the child not only with her hand but also with a shoe. The incident was duly reported to the police.

According to the statement, the Termiz city department of Internal Affairs is currently conducting a pre-investigation into the case.

It is worth noting that earlier, an intoxicated man assaulted a young boy who had gone to a pharmacy in Andijan city.
