Director of “Temir xotin” passes away

On August 10, Honored Worker of Culture of Uzbekistan and theater director Abdurakhmon Abdunazarov passed away at the age of 72, the Ministry of Culture reported.

Abdurakhmon Abdunazarov was born on March 10, 1954, in the Khojaabad district of Andijan region. He worked in the Andijan Regional Musical Theater, the Kashkadarya Regional Musical Theater, as well as in theaters in other regions and neighboring countries. In 1988, he founded the “Muloqot” theater studio in the city of Karshi.

Over his career, Abdunazarov made a significant contribution to Uzbek theater art and the development of independent creative studios. He staged dozens of performances, including “Temir xotin (Iron Woman),” “Jononga bordim bir kecha (I Went to Jononga Bordim Bir Kecha),” “Zaharli hayot yoxud ishq qurbonlari,” “Mayli, saylang,” “Baxtiyorni uylantiramiz,” “Gulya + Erik,” “Boy ila…” and “Momo yer.”

In addition to his stage work, Abdunazarov taught at the Andijan Regional College of Arts, training many students who went on to become professional actors and directors.

It should be noted that it was recently reported that actor and stuntman Yolchi Ortikov, known for his role in the film “Tog'lik kuyov (Mountain Groom),” died at the age of 51.
