Another 10 greenhouses operating in the Tashkent District of Tashkent Region have been closed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the incident.
According to reports, as part of implementing the Presidential decree “On Urgent Measures to Improve the Environmental Situation in Tashkent City,” ecological monitoring of factors affecting the environment continued in Tashkent District.
A working group inspected 32 greenhouses in the Chig‘atoy, Kensoy, Qirariq, Kuksaroy, and Shamsiobod neighborhoods. Among them, 10 coal-heated greenhouses were found to lack air purification filters, and in three others, improper waste burning was identified. Based on these findings, regional environmental authorities issued official reports and suspended the operations of the 10 greenhouses.
Experts provided necessary explanations of the regulatory requirements for installing filters when burning coal and for proper waste disposal.
It is worth noting that earlier, 20 enterprises that polluted the air were closed in Navoiy.
