The first Greek embassy has officially opened in Tashkent, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Greece. The announcement was made by Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov via his Telegram channel.
Saidov received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Greek Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Paraskevi Tzevelek.
“We welcome the opening of the Greek Embassy in Tashkent and believe that this step will serve to further intensify cooperation between our countries. During the meeting, we discussed strengthening political dialogue, developing trade and economic ties, and expanding cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres,” Saidov wrote.
He also extended his best wishes to Ambassador Tzevelek for a productive and successful mission in Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that earlier, the newly appointed Georgian Ambassador to Uzbekistan, David Kotaria, also presented his credentials to Foreign Minister Saidov.
