Gas and gasoline production declines in Uzbekistan

The National Statistics Committee has released industrial production figures for January–October 2025.
During the first ten months of the year, Uzbek enterprises produced industrial goods worth 865.8 trillion soums, marking a 6.7 percent increase compared with the same period in 2024.
However, natural gas production declined. From January to October, 35.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas were extracted, 3.5 billion cubic meters less than in the same period of 2023 and 1.8 billion cubic meters less than in the first ten months of 2024.
Automobile gasoline production also fell. During this period, 974.7 thousand tons of gasoline were produced, down 131.5 thousand tons compared with January–October 2023 and 118.7 thousand tons compared with 2024.
Crude oil production decreased as well, from 602 thousand tons in January–October 2024 to 547.3 thousand tons in 2025, a reduction of 54.7 thousand tons.
Meanwhile, diesel and coal production increased. Diesel output reached 978.1 thousand tons, up from 877.9 thousand tons in the same period of 2024. Coal production grew to 6.5 million tons, compared with 6.3 million tons last year.
Electricity generation also rose. Uzbekistan produced 69.2 billion kWh from January to October, a 3.8 percent increase over the 66.7 billion kWh generated in the same period in 2024.
Earlier, it was reported that the average income of Uzbek citizens reached 21.8 million soums.
