Average salaries increase across several sectors in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the average monthly salary from January to September 2025 amounted to 6.17 million soums, representing a 19.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Regionally, Tashkent City recorded the highest average salary at 10.38 million soums — an 18.7 percent rise year-on-year. In other regions, the average monthly salary reached 4.85 million soums in Samarkand (a 24.8 percent increase), 4.54 million in Namangan (20.9 percent), 4.93 million in Syrdarya (20.7 percent), 4.57 million in Fergana (19.8 percent), and 4.59 million in Jizzakh (19.2 percent).

Meanwhile, lower growth rates were observed in other regions: Andijan – 4.99 million soums (12 percent), Navoi – 7.61 million (15.1 percent), Kashkadarya – 4.27 million (17.2 percent), Tashkent Region – 5.80 million (17.3 percent), Khorezm – 4.83 million (17.6 percent), Karakalpakstan – 4.90 million (17.6 percent), Bukhara – 4.95 million (18.2 percent), and Surkhandarya – 4.35 million soums (18.4 percent).

By sector, the highest wage growth was observed in the arts, entertainment, and recreation fields, where salaries increased by 22.8 percent, reaching 5.11 million soums.

The education sector also showed notable improvement, with the average salary rising by 19.8 percent to 4.19 million soums. In transport and storage, average monthly wages reached 9.38 million soums (up 16.7 percent), while in information and communication, salaries climbed 16.6 percent to 14.99 million soums. Industrial wages averaged 7.30 million soums, marking a 16.3 percent increase.

In the construction sector, the average monthly salary rose by 9.2 percent to 6.34 million soums. The hospitality and catering sector saw a 10.1 percent rise to 5.12 million soums, while trade salaries grew 12.1 percent to 6.88 million soums. In healthcare and social services, wages reached 3.77 million soums (up 14.6 percent). The finance sector — including banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and brokerage — reported an average salary of 16.83 million soums, reflecting a 15.6 percent increase.
