Another governor dismissed in Navoi region

Navbahor district governor Azamat Urokov has been dismissed from his position and replaced by a new district head, according to the press service of the Navoi regional administration.
It has been reported that Alisher Abdurazzoqovich Rashidov has been appointed as the new governor of the district. Before this appointment, he served as the head of the Navoi Regional Department of Agriculture.

For reference, Alisher Rashidov graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers in 2000. In 2006, he completed training at the Center for Training and Professional Development of Agricultural Enterprise Managers under the Tashkent State Agrarian University. In 2012, he graduated from the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The regional administration did not specify the reason for Azamat Urokov’s dismissal. He had been serving as governor of Navbahor district since 2022.
As a reminder, new governors were also recently appointed for the Karmana district of Navoi region and the city of Khanabad in Andijan region. Likewise, the governor of Ohangaron city was dismissed and replaced by a new leader.
In addition, Sherbek Buronov, who had been serving as governor of Narpay district, was dismissed and replaced by a new appointee. The governor of Forish district in Jizzakh region, Ikrom Matiev, was also removed from his position and succeeded by a new leader.
