Gas station in Andijan caught fire

A fire broke out at a gas station in the Andijan district of Andijan region today, September 5, the regional department of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the information, the incident occurred at a liquefied and compressed gas filling station in the district. During the transfer of liquefied propane gas from a MAN fuel truck with a storage capacity of about 5 tons, a technological malfunction occurred, which caused the fire. The Emergency department received the call about the incident at 12:05.

Fire and rescue units arrived at the scene at 12:13. The fire was brought under control at 12:26 and fully extinguished at 13:03.

It was reported that no injuries were registered as a result of the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier, an explosion occurred at a gas station in the Shurchi district of Surkhandarya region. In addition, a fire erupted at a gas station in the Jomboy district of the Samarkand region. As a result of the fire, KIA Bongo, Damas, and Gentra vehicles were damaged.

In July, an explosion occurred at a gas station located in the “Oltin Dala” neighborhood of the Kukdala district in Kashkadarya region, resulting in the death of four people. The families of the deceased were each paid 100 million soums in compensation. A criminal case was initiated under Article 205 (abuse of power or official authority) and Article 259 (violation of fire safety rules) of the Criminal Code. At the beginning of August, another explosion occurred at a gas station in the same neighborhood. On August 8, a major fire broke out at a mobile fuel station in the city of Urgench, Khorezm region.
