Some streets in Tashkent to be temporarily closed due to summit

From November 14 to 17 this year, several major international events are scheduled to take place in Tashkent. As a result, traffic on some streets will be partially restricted at times, with alternative routes arranged for vehicles. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is reported that on November 15 this year, from 14:00 to 19:00, the section from the Abdullah Qodiriy–Ganga Bridge intersection to the junction of Abdullah Qodiriy, Qorasaroy, and Zarqaynar streets will be closed. Drivers will be able to use Sebzor and Nurafshon streets as alternative routes.

On the same day, from 9:00 to 19:00, the section from the Abdullah Qodiriy–Qorasaroy intersection along Qorasaroy Street to the Nurafshon–Qorasaroy intersection will be closed. Drivers will be able to use Qorasaroy Street to the Small Ring Road and Sebzor Street via Nurafshon Street as alternative routes.

On November 16, from 10:00 to 15:00, the section from the Islom Karimov–Botir Zokirov intersection along Islom Karimov Street to the Islom Karimov–Furqat intersection will be partially closed at times. Drivers can use Botir Zokirov–Alisher Navoiy Streets and Olmazor–Beshyogoch streets as alternative routes to reach Furqat Street.

On November 16, from 9:00 to 15:00, the section from the Islom Karimov–Furqat intersection along Furqat Street to Hadra Square will be closed, and drivers can use Alisher Navoiy and Islom Karimov Streets as alternative routes.

Due to these events, from November 14 to 17 this year, entry of heavy trucks into Tashkent from surrounding regions will be restricted. Movement of heavy trucks within the city center will be completely suspended.
’’Dear fellow citizens, due to temporary restrictions established in connection with international events, travel from the valley to the oasis and back will be carried out via the D012 highway. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience this may cause,’’ the statement reads.
It is worth noting that Tashkent will host the 7th Central Asian Leaders’ Consultative Meeting, with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosting the summit. Leaders expected to attend include Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
