The Ministry of Energy has announced that gas filling compressor stations for cars and gas supply to large consumers in the Fergana Valley will resume operation from 20:00 today, September 6.

Earlier, restrictions were introduced due to works on connecting a new section of the main gas pipeline built in the mountainous part of the valley to the network. According to the ministry, an additional 22 kilometers of pipeline have been connected to the “Akhangaron–Pungon” main gas pipeline, which supplies natural gas to the Fergana Valley. Installation work has now been completed.

As a result, natural gas supply will be restored to Andijan from 20:00, and to utilities and large consumers in Fergana and Namangan regions from 21:00.

“The commissioning of this pipeline will serve to increase the reliability of natural gas supply to the consumers of the valley regions,” the ministry said in its statement.
